Allow Number pages to control the resolution of the animated Static Sky in both supported Minecraft versions: 1.21.1 and 26.3.
Scope
Consume the Number-page value associated with Static Sky using the existing ordered writing grammar.
Use that value to vary the noise grid resolution of each sky face, allowing visibly coarser or finer static.
Without a Number modifier, preserve the current 48 × 48 cells per face default.
Persist the selected resolution in the Age sky settings and restore it consistently on revisit, reconnect, and restart.
Keep resolution independent of sky color, animation timing, terrain, and lighting.
Define and document safe minimum/maximum values and handling of zero/out-of-range input; avoid unbounded texture allocation or rendering cost.
Update page descriptions/documentation and authoring/JEI guidance where applicable.
Version-specific implementation
1.21.1: adapt the existing procedural Static Sky renderer.
26.3: adapt the cached sky cube and dynamic noise texture; retain the extracted-render-state lifecycle and resource cleanup.
Acceptance checks
Author several Static Sky Ages with different Number values and verify visibly different cell sizes on all six faces.
Verify the unmodified default remains 48 × 48.
Verify settings survive travel and restart, with no state leaking between Ages.
Verify animation remains active and non-Static skies are unaffected.
Check bounded resource usage at the supported limits on both versions.
## Goal
Allow Number pages to control the resolution of the animated Static Sky in both supported Minecraft versions: **1.21.1 and 26.3**.
## Scope
- Consume the Number-page value associated with Static Sky using the existing ordered writing grammar.
- Use that value to vary the noise grid resolution of each sky face, allowing visibly coarser or finer static.
- Without a Number modifier, preserve the current **48 × 48 cells per face** default.
- Persist the selected resolution in the Age sky settings and restore it consistently on revisit, reconnect, and restart.
- Keep resolution independent of sky color, animation timing, terrain, and lighting.
- Define and document safe minimum/maximum values and handling of zero/out-of-range input; avoid unbounded texture allocation or rendering cost.
- Update page descriptions/documentation and authoring/JEI guidance where applicable.
## Version-specific implementation
- **1.21.1:** adapt the existing procedural Static Sky renderer.
- **26.3:** adapt the cached sky cube and dynamic noise texture; retain the extracted-render-state lifecycle and resource cleanup.
## Acceptance checks
- Author several Static Sky Ages with different Number values and verify visibly different cell sizes on all six faces.
- Verify the unmodified default remains 48 × 48.
- Verify settings survive travel and restart, with no state leaking between Ages.
- Verify animation remains active and non-Static skies are unaffected.
