Acceptance criteria
Follow the frame, activation, destination, and link behavior established by issue #75's source audit.
Validate frames and destinations on the server; reject incomplete or invalid constructions without consuming resources or creating ghost portal blocks.
Preserve Age identity and existing Linking/Descriptive Book rules, including return-link policy; do not introduce an independent conflicting travel system.
Make portal creation and removal safe across chunk unload, restart, and dimension removal, with dedicated-server support.
Provide tests and an in-game travel/visual check.

Portal collision uses the held book destination with external travel, momentum, no platform, portal sound/color. Bound the Legacy flood walk to loaded chunks/volume.
